From the 30th – 31st
of May, the Center for Community Health and Development (COHED)
undertook an intensive workshop on its five-year strategic plan
(2013-2018) with a vision to 2025. For the last decade, COHED has worked
successfully in Vietnam’s development sector and is determined to
ensure this success continues and improves in the context of the next
ten years and retains COHED’s mission, values and beliefs. Guaranteeing
this outcome involved key discussions around COHED’s focal areas,
recognizing and addressing challenges and weaknesses, building upon
strengths, identifying expansion opportunities, as well as financial
planning and ensuring transparency.
The
workshop was also a valuable opportunity for all of COHED’s staff to
come together and contribute towards the organization’s long-term
strategic direction and gain a better understanding of the actions that
will be required of them in the future. The result of the workshop was
COHED’s five-year strategic plan, increased capacity of COHED staff and
enthusiasm concerning COHED’s future position as one of the leading NGOs
in Vietnam.
This
workshop was undertaken thanks to the generous support of Irish Aid, and
with facilitation by Peapros Consultancy Firm, experts in business
development.
