A consultation workshop was held on 22nd August 2013 hosted in Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh province, to draft a new version of the policy relating toPLHIV, IDUs, SWs and Methadone patients.
A
consultation workshop was held on 22nd August 2013 hosted in Bac Ninh
City, Bac Ninh province, to draft a new version of the policy relating
toPLHIV, IDUs, SWs and Methadone patients. The workshop was by the
Department of Social Vice Prevention (DSVP) – (MOLISA) in cooperation
with COHED and the USAID sponsored projects including Pathways and
Chemonics/HIV Workplace.
There
were 65 participants from central and local levels of government in
attendance and they were joined byPLHIV and vulnerable group
representatives from the various provinces and cities. All participants
actively took part in reviewing and commenting on the draft version of
the policy in orderto make it more realistic and effective. The overall
intention was to make the policy more applicabletoPLHIV and other
vulnerable groups, allowing them tobe more involved ineconomic
development so they can achieve secure employment andsustained incomes.
