On 7th December, 2014,
in response to the World AIDS Day and to the Month of National Action against
HIV/AIDS, the Positive Living Cooperative (STC Cooperative) officially held its
Opening Ceremony at Anh Dung ward, Duong Kinh district, Hai Phong city. At the
event there were around 100 attendants who are representatives from local
authority agencies at all level, such as those from Hai Phong Fatherland Front
Committee, Hai Phong Red Cross Association, Hai Phong Communist Youth Union,
Hai Phong Youth Association, Duong Kinh district Standing Committee, Duong Kinh
district Propaganda Department, Anh Dung ward People’s Committee, as well as
local enterprises and community-based organizations in Hai Phong city.
With the technical and financial
support from COHED within the framework of the project Policy initiative for
economic strengthening and integration for People Living with HIV and HIV
vulnerable population groups supported by Irish Aid, the STC Cooperative, now,
obtains their legal status in doing garment business in order to create jobs
and income for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in Hai Phong city. This
is a very important and meaningful benchmark for all STC staff and members as
they can enjoy the inclusive economic growth through their own business
operation.
