On 23 rd June 2016, COHED was cooperated with DOLISA Da Nang to conduct an End Workshop on the project “Protecting urban livelihoods from climate change – building heat stress resilience amongst Da Nang’s most vulnerable workers” from Oct. 2015 to Jun. 2016 funded by Rockefeller Foundation, with participation of representatives from MOLISA, DOLISA, related organizations and enterprises in Da Nang city.
All the participants were highly appreciated the project achievements to contribute in awareness raising on Heat Stress Prevention through series of training and broadcasting program. Initial project achievement in policy advocacy for piloting in labor safety training agenda and material for heat stress prevention to integrated in annual labor safety training for Da Nang and other l enterprises in the Central in order to replicate in nation-wide. Beside the training materials, the project documents were developed during the project such as guidelines and standard process to prevent heat stress at workplace as well as the early warning system.
The representative from DOLISA requested MOLISA to integrate officially in labor safety training agenda and material including heat stress prevention for nation-wide in order to protect the laborer’s health as well as the community health.
